Our Amenities...
There is plenty to do at Bedford Creek, such as swim on the
beach and enjoy our 900 feet of frontage on Lake Ontario.
Our lake front is all sand, with no rocks to step on as you
walk out more than 100 yards to reach waist deep water. You
can also enjoy our playground, basketball and volleyball
court.
We rent boats, motors, kayaks and canoes for water
enthusiasts. Gas, bait, and tackle are all on site, so you
wont have to travel far for your boating and fishing needs
Boat owners will find various quick fix items for boat care
and repair, as well as life jackets, ropes, and plenty of
additional items you may need. We also offer full marine
service for your boat or jet ski.
Our store will provide everything you need for a comfortable stay while at Bedford Creek. Youll find groceries such as dairy products, soda, juice, candy, deserts, chips, canned foods and various baking necessities. We stock ice and many other frozen treats for the hot days of summer. For campers we have propane, firewood, RV & trailer supplies.
Across the road from our campground is a very nice 9-hole golf course and country club. Just a few miles away by road or water is the famous Sackets Harbor where the war of 1812 was begun and is re-enacted each year. A short distance away in the opposite direction is the picturesque Henderson Harbor. Both Sackets and Henderson are well known for their fine restaurants where you can enjoy a quiet dinner or an evening out on the town. If good food is what youd like,
Even though you will be staying in a county setting, a short ten-minute drive will take you to the shopping areas of Watertown, which includes the Salmon Run Mall. There are also numerous antique and craft shops, as well as museums throughout the area.So whether you are planning a fishing trip with friends or a quiet vacation for the family, youll find Bedford Creek Marina & Campground makes a great home base for your vacation or summer home.
For the fisherman we supply live bait such as worms, minnows and crabs. Our tackle department includes items for the bass/pike/walleye fisherman, panfish and bullhead, and the big water trollers targeting trout and salmon. We also have local fishing maps available, and we will be sure to keep you posted on where and how the fish are being caught.
There are two bath-houses, providing hot showers and a dish-washing station for your convenience, and we also have a laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers on site as well. There are two dump stations on the premises, for those who choose not to use a full-hook up during their stay with us.
the Pizza Shack sits right on the campground property, providing one of the areas top choices for delivery or pick-up of pizza, wings, calzones, subs and many other delicious selections.
Christmas in July and Halloween in August will be celebrated once again at Bedford Creek during the summer of 2010, as well as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Again in '10 we will hold two fishing tournaments, a chicken BBQ, pig roast, kids carnival, pancake breakfast, fish fry, ice cream social, hot dog roast, campground garage sales, and weekend crafts for the kids.
